yahoo homepage not loading

I think that this is not a laptop specific problem but it occuring on a del
laptop. I am trying to figure out for a friend why their yahoo home page
will not load on their dell laptop. On another computer in the house their
page loads fine. On this laptop the page appears to be loading but seems to
be in some sort of loop and just sits there. This seems to have occured
after some updates a couple of weeks ago. Any thoughts on this would be
appreciated. It will go to other web pages just fine. using IE7.
