Before you conclude that the battery is bad .....
The CMOS batteries in most Toshiba laptops charge VERY slowly (48 hours to charge fully) AND they charge ONLY when the laptop is ON. Plugged in but off doesn't result in charging.
So you may need to leave the laptop ON for up to 2 days before the battery will be fully charged (at which point it is supposed to run for about 30 days).
On most Toshiba laptops, the CMOS battery is somewhere under the keyboard. In a few machines, a LOT of disassembly is required to replace it.
I'd think that most A205's are still under warranty.

I've tried resetting the defaults, but it continues to come up..
My question is, does anyone have any idea where the bloomin' CMOS
battery is in this puppy?
I've taken it apart as much as I dare but I have not found a thing!
