Any clues in the event viewer?

Seems to me, your system thinks (right or wrong) it is low in power and
that causes it to go into hibernation. Does this happen even if your
machine is connected to the power outlet or only when running on battery?

It happens while plugged in, my fan went out a few months ago and if
I had a few programs running, it would just black out when it got hot,
this new problem, it can happen while fairly cold with just internet
open, and it hibernates instead of blacking out with no warning, could
it be a heat problem? Hard to fix fan, seems no computer shop work on
laptops, even though most people now have them.
Thanks
