Strange notebook standby problem

The problem of my notebook is "simple"...

When I select the power scheme "Home/Office Desk"
the standby work.

When I select the power scheme "Portable/Laptop"
the notebook won't resume from standby.
When I press the button to resume, it just start the
hard disk but everything else is dead.

What do you think about this?
Yes... I can leave the "Home/Office Desk" power
scheme, but it's not the best solution.
The mobile Athlon XP don't use the PowerNow to
regulate it's clock speed.

Help please... :-)
