I make my own boot-CDs and DVDs, and throw in the Ghost Dos
files on it, presently on version 11.
It probably takes 2 or 3 minutes from power on to actual start of
restore. Then about 7 min from there. Around 10 altogether.
I use Ghost mainly for backup of my boot and Windows partition, which
I try hard to keep lean at below 10 GB.
Creating an image takes longer, but that is because packing a file is
slower than unpacking it.
I have learned to run scandisk and defrag before imaging a partition.
It saves me from unpleasant messages from Ghost.

scan prior to doing the image. My only problem with GHOST is its
takeing longer and longer to create the image file to external maxtor Dr.
And the contents of winxp have not been increased so something is wrong.
