I've got a Toshiba A105-9322 which has Expresscard/PCMCIA slots (one of each) and it comes under Texas Instruments PCI-8x12/7x12/6x12 CardBus Adapter in Device Manager. There's also an entry under System Devices for Mobile Intel(r) 945GM/PM/GMS/940GML and Intel(R) 945GT Express PCI Express Root Port.
I don't know whether that's of any assistance. Do you know what the model number of the notebook was just before yours was released..... you might have a hunt round the HP website and see if you can work out what the previous (XP) model was called and see if those drivers might help you out.

they were pretty generic descriptions - like "56k data/fax modem" or "10/100 ethernet" - but, in any case, history now ;-)
I did d/l some drivers from an older version machine 9013 that seem to work ok sofar..
just thought of another device I didn't look for tho' - the Expresscard port....
You should have probably found out exactly what the devices were when you still had Vista on it... but too late for that, what does HP say they are on their site.... (the Vista ones)?
