Hi all.
Thisfaulthas me totally stumped.
Initial symptoms were that Windows was totally borked (machine took 15
minutes to boot, andkeyboard/touchpadwas unresponsive)
Reinstalled windows from the setup partition (eventually) and
everything seemed OK except for thekeyboard/touchpad.
Tried driver update etc- nothing worked. The only thing which helped
was replacing thekeyboardwhich worked (once) then thefault
reappeared.
I did however find that two additional problems exist, one is that the
laptop shows it is on AC power all the time even when on battery
(battery reads as "Unknown") and even stranger, thekeyboardetc works
perfectly if the battery is removed and laptop is run off AC mains.
Anyone ever see this symptom before? I tried BIOS flash, reset etc
which had no effect.
Also the KB works fine in DOS, tried booting from a CD and all is
well.

Did you get a solution for this fault as I have anAcer3000 with the
same fault
Found a solution for my laptop. Take out the battery and use the plug.
It works fine. I am not sure what is happening. Any ideas?
