Re: Fujitsu laptop upgrade

Thanks for the info on the size limits.
The dis-assembly does look to be only one or two screws, but the metal
housing looks like it might be difficult to shift, and I've not stuck my
hands in a laptop many times - PCs yes. Any ideas where I can get detailed
info on my particular laptop ?
Thanks again

On almost all laptops, it is possible to change the drive without major
disassembly. It's rarely necessary to remove more than two screws to
remove the hard drive (there are exceptions, however).

I don't know your laptop specifically, but it's likely that it will accept
any hard drive with the proper interface (e.g. IDE or SATA). If this is
not the case and there is a limit, it's probably 120MB.

Hi
I have an Amilo A1630 and want to upgrade the hard drive. Can anyone tell
me
what the maixmum capacity drive I can put into it is please ? Also, it
looks
quite complicated to strip down - does anyone know of any sites etc that
explain step-by-step how to get the drive out of the chassis (pref with
pictures)
Thanks for your help
