Re: Do Any Other Laptops Beside IBM Have a TrackPoint-Like Mouse?

My Dell xps gen 1 has a trackpoint and touch pad. In face, the external IBM
ultranav keyboard works well. Most fn keys dont work, but you should have
guess that.
What I miss most is the keyboard light. Silly? Never realized how much I
used it till the xps did desk duty.
I've purchased two Thinkpads in the past 3 months. Lenovo is no ibm. Tech
support in Atlanta, GA has a fair command of English. Dell support in India
is usually better, but certainly has faults too. I buy a lot of parts and
accessories; shipping starts at $20 for ground and $40 for express. I
recently order 2 ultrabay hard drive adaptors. Think anyone at tech support
or sales would tell me to order a few sata hard drives? Of course, no.
The advanced dock has a half height pci slot. IBM and Lenovo has no idea
what is compatable.

Hello. I would like to buy a new laptop but have never had to use one
where there's no track point. I have some issues with IBM's tech
support but can't let that stand in the way of my going for another
ThinkPad, if ThinkPads are the only laptops with a real mouse. (I do
*not* understand why other manufacturers haven't come in to the
twentieth century in this regard.)
Anyway, I would like to try a Macbook, but their keyboard apparently
not only doesn't have a mouse, it's actually controversial and looks
pretty odd.
Thanks in advance.
