Hi,

I recently bought a this usb card for my laptop (Dell Inspiron 4150).
The thing worked fine for about a week, but now whenever I insert the
card into the slot, the computer instantly shuts off.

The same thing happens with my Panasonic CF-25 (circa '98) when
inserting the printer cable into the parallel port. I have to do it
before powering-up the computer. (It could be just closing the screen
is sufficient, can't recall for certain)
