It occurs sometimes and it goes to the left of the screen and sometimes
goes to bottom.
It happens temporarily and sometimes just for a few seconds, so Toshiba
said there's no need to change any hardware.
Could it be because of the drivers? I installed ALPS pointing device
driver from my model of notebook at Toshiba site.
Thank you.
Regards.

Hello,
I use my Toshiba Satellite S1800-100 with Accupoint II Touchpad.
But when i'm not using the touchpad, the pointer moves itself. I
use Windows XP Professional and tried disabling "Enchance Pointer
Precision" option in Mouse Properties, but still it happens. I use
XP's standard internal PS/2 mouse driver
Moves where, and how permanently?
The docs for my IBM Thinkpad say that the cursor will wander short
distances for short periods of time occasionally as it "recalibrates"
itself.
But, the cursor on my Thinkpad would drive itself into the upper
right corner of the display. I could drag it back using the
trackpoint but as soon as I released the stick, the cursor would
return to the corner.
Replacing the keyboard fixed it permanently (the circuitry for both
the trackpoint and touchpad are contained in the R51's keyboard).
