Laptop power adapter ---will higher volts blow my motherboard?

Hello,
I have recently gotten my hands on a dell laptop, with the power supply
broken. According to the sticker it outputs at 60W, 19v, 3.16A power
supply/ac/adapter.

I have another power supply which fits perfectly into the computer.
However, this power supply/ac adapter is rated to output at 75w, 19v,
3.94A.

If i use this power supply do i risk blowing my motherboard? can i use
an inline fuse to protect against this?

    ... you will be fine with this unless the Dell laptop uses an "intelligent" power supply that "communicates" with the laptop. ... The voltage of the two supplies is the same, ... What's different is the current, but the current rating is not what the power supply will deliver, it's what the power supply COULD deliver. ...
