Yeah. I'm angry at myself because I bought the GS29 at Circuit City
for $269, but with tax it came to $300. I could have gotten the GS39
from Amazon for that price. Haven't opened it yet because it's been
raining cats and dogs, and the only thing I could videotape would be my
cat or a dog.

But something the Gadgester, or whatever he calls himself, got me
thinking: there really *is* something to be said for burning directly
to DVD. If someone assured me that low-end Hitachi was any good (I
can't go much over $350), I'd return this one and buy that instead.

The prospect of all that editing...
