You are a delight at clairty. Some programs will be a lot faster, and the
upgraded chip is only 6 times the cost.

With Ebay maturing, I never recommend upgrading chips except to the most
advanced and brave. You can often sell your present unit and get more than
the high cost of the current tier 1,2, or 3 processor of the week. OK,
processor of the month.

I have a Toshiba Tecra 9100 that had a Mobile Pentium 4 1.7 and upgraded
to a 2.2. On one piece of software the load time decreased from 35 seconds
to 14 seconds. Of course your CPU may be different and the upgrade cost
1/6 the price of the whole computer.
