Re: hard drive upgrade for HP laptop

I have a late model HP dv5128TX laptop that has a 80gig drive. In the
specs it says my model can handle drives up to 100gig.
I would like to install an aftermarket Samsung 5400rpm 120gig and use my
original drive as a backup.
No problem at all. If it'll do any size under 128GB, it'll do every
size under 128GB. If it's fairly modern it ought to do 48-bit LBA,
which means it'll do any size under 128 petabytes. 8*) If so, the
160G drives are out, and the perpendicular systems hitting the market
this year will ensure that capacities keep climbing.
