Acer Travel Mate 8100 Smart card issue.

Hi There,

I've got a slightly irritating problem with my Travelmate 8100. This
laptop comes with a smartcard which i ahve never used due to large
amount of hassle which comes along with it. However, even though i have
no Smartcard software install and i never have the smart card inserted,
if i remote desktop into a computer it comes up with "The smart card
was not recognised". It then returns to the normal login screen and i
can log in, which is fine, but the message is very irritating.

Is there anyway to completely disable the smart card so that this
doens't happen?
