Check the BIOS setting for the "mode" of the PC Card slots (and, by thelabtop
way, "PC Card" is the correct terminology, not "PCMCIA Card"). On most
Toshibas, there are two modes, "PCIC Compatible" and "16-bit/Cardbus
Compatible". You want "16-bit/Cardbus compatible". Unfortunately, PCIC
is the default, and it doesn't work with many cards.
