The field requires the format yyyy/mm/dd... Note the DD bit.

help.

You need to register the blasted laptop before you can get access to
the Support pages. Ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Did you point this out to the webmaster? It's clearly a bug in the page
which he needs to fix.
