Reviews seem pretty good but ya never know who has been paid to say one
way
or the other so I thought I would ask here.
Any recommendations on perhaps something different....get more bang from
my
buck with something else?

Hi,

I'm in the UK and bought one of these about 6 weeks ago.

My spec is 1024 MB ram, 60 GB disc.

the shop I got mine from sold two version of this system and they nearly
gave me the wrong one, good job I checked the actual machine before I left
the shop.

The other version they sold was 80 GB disc but only 512 MB RAM.

The battery is a plug in job so replacing it just a matter of buying a new
one. They sell 6 and 8 cell batteries if you want extra longevity.

As far as the machine goes, I love it.

The display is fantastic, I have been watching my west wing DVDs on it and
it is superb.

The system runs reasonable fast, I think the extra ram might help here.

The keyboard and touch pad are great though I tend to plug my wireless usb
mouse in most of the time.

It connected into my existing home WiFi network with no problems at all
and I have never had a problem getting connected anywhere in the hose or
garden.

I would have liked a usb port at the back of the machine but that is a
minor point.

The usb port at the front is great for my pen drive.

So all around I am very happy with it.

If you have any specific questions then just ask.
