I transferred LOTS of stuff to an external USB HDD and just copied the necessary folders, then when I checked to make sure they had copied correctly I deleted them from the main HDD. I have several ext HDD's for different hobbies and find this frees up the main HDD.
Hope this helps? ;-)

Hi all,
I have a laptop with a 20GB drive whitch is getting pretty full. What I would idealy like to do therefore, is transfer everything (Except XP) from my laptop drive onto an external 200GB HDD connected via USB2.
I have seen various HDD clone programs, but the problem is that they (As far as I can see) just make an image of the drive which can only be used to backup or restore the hdd. However, what I want is just to move everything to the external drive so that it is still accessable and not in an image form.
Anyone managed to do this ?
All help greatfully recieved !
Thanks.
