Make no assumptions. The heat pipe heat exchanger on many laptops are
the primary filter for everything in the environment. Six months of air
flow can be disastrous, depending on the physical design of the air
inlet system and how many cats you have. In any event of cooling
issues, the only solution is to open the case, check the air flow path,
operation of the fan, bonding of the heat sink to the cpu, etc.
