I'm in the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it camp."

That said, if what the one poster said is correct, and a different
charging cycle may occur from a bios upgrade; then I'd consider it.

Consider it only! If I was having any trouble with the new battery,
it's cycle life, or incorrect battery level indicators.

If everything is fine in your notebooks world? DON'T "FIX" IT!!!
There's nothing TO Fix.

You have very good reason to fear a bios update.

At best? I had a quirky RAID chip straightened out.

But, I've had bios updates give me all kinds of new features, while
cancelling out features I really did use. Or, I've had computers no
longer boot because the "Update" changed the booting order and
stopped "boot from another device." Annoying more then anything,
but, when it happens you think your ruined your bios WTF??? and
panic!

Panic can be worse then anything that happened...

And, if there is any power disruption when you're flashing/ updating
it, you run a very real risk of ruining it! In fact, it probably
will be. No, you won't be able to fix it!!

Never forget that...
