Provided the BIOS has support, you can boot from USB floppy drives. You can
also boot from USB CD drives and USB hard drives (provided they have
priority over the permanent devices). If the BIOS supports it, you can also
boot from ZIP disks* and Firewire devices.
* I refer to the internal ZIP drives, external are either USB, Firewire or
SCSI which are handled as such.
