You may have an insurmountable problem.
Hard drives depend on air pressure for the aerodynamics that allow the read/write head to "fly" (literally) a few microns above the surface of the spinning drive platter. All of the engineering of the drive assumes nominal air density. In general, disk drives are not guaranteed to work above about 8,000 feet.
Another issue is that cooling of the CPU occurs by airflow of air passing over heatsinks. This becomes less and less effective as the air becomes less dense. It is possible that at 9,500 feet, you can't effectively cool the system sufficiently to prevent overheating.
By the way, exactly where do you have a cabin at 9,500 feet? There are very few inhabited places that high, at least in the US.

When I use my HP Pavillion ze5560us at my home at 6000 feet I never have a problem. However, when I use it at my cabin at 9500 feet the dreaded "Blue Screen of Death" appears after 3-5 minutes of operation. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. The computer is under warranty.
