The HD spins down and the LCD powers off after 1 hour but I have
disabled sleep mode.
I remember reading years ago that the thermal cycling involved in
powering them on and off several times a day is hard on the
electronic components. Is there any merit to this argument? Am I
worrying about nothing? :)
