1. Go to http://www.crucial.com . What type of memory do they
recommend? Is that the same as what CC sold you?

2. Did you combine the new DIMM with an old one? Sometimes two types
of DIMMs will not work together. I know from a quick test that I
could not plug a PC2100 and a PC2700 DIMM into my Toshiba laptop
(which runs at PC2100) - they aren't compatible together in my
computer. But I can run with just the PC2700 or with just the PC2100.
