No. My E6850 worked on it.

I wish mine was also a later revision. I called Newegg and they do not
do exchanges for a later version of this board. So I'm stuck with
having to update the BIOS. Never done that before. Would anyone know if
it can be done with the board outside the case or is it best with it
inside? Been to Intel's site and read up on the process although it
looks to be a little tricky using either a CD to boot to or a USB
stick. Anyone been down this road and could help me?
