did you have 4 GB (2x2gb) installed on your MB or did you only
have 2 GB (2x1GB)? I just received my Kingston 2x2GB ValueRam 1.8v
sticks

I got CPU and memory for my DP35DP today. Attached the CPU/heatsink
to the mainboard. There is something about the plugs I'm not sure
of, but the attachment was no problem. When removed, the slots on
the top of the plugs are supposed to be rotated 90°
counterclockwise. When installed, I'm not sure what happens. I would
think they have to turn during or be unturned before plugging them
into the mainboard, but I dunno. After being plugged in, the plug
slots were all pointing in towards the fan which appears to be
correct. I gently made sure the plug slots were turned clockwise as
much as possible.

and was curious if the DP35DP will boot with 4 GB for the first
time using Windows Vista 32bit. If it won't, I'll only install a
single 2GB stick, boot and install the other 2 GB stick when
everything (hopefully) is up and running smoothly.

Again. Use the bear minimum to begin with. Just the CPU/fan, one
stick of memory, and a monitor. No drives. Don't even bother
plugging in the keyboard or mouse. If you see the bootup screen,
that's a very good start. If not, then you've got a problem.

If it boots, then I would shut down and plug in the keyboard. Then
restart and get into the BIOS to look around, look at the CPU and
system temperatures.

Then go for it. Remember to put the memory in the same colored slots
so it will do the dual channel thing.

Good luck and have fun.
