I saw those brown connectors ;-)
Yep, it is.
It seems to have 8Mb RAM (8x1Mb modules in a vertical card on the
right, looking from the rear).
Wow, that was the bare minimum for AIX 3.2
You'll want more RAM.
There is a SCSI card with an external thick black terminator. HD is
disconnected but present, cables are in the case (with the dust...)
There's a card that should be a graphic one (when I return home I'll
check the FRU) ... 16x256 RAM modules, soldered (the same black
modules found in the XGA card).
Sounds like a Colour Graphics Adaptor:
It only can display 1280x1024 @ 60Hz with 256 colours.
Your monitor needs sync-on-green capabilities, so most LCD monitors
won't sync.
My experience has been the opposite. LCDs I've tried (Dell and IBM)
have done sync on green with a cable like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/
eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=400046783211) and a GXT150M just fine.
On the other hand, you will need a "professional" CRT to do sync on
green (IBM Pxxx, ViewSonic, Trinitron, etc). A really good indicator
would be a 13W3 or BNC connectors on the back of the monitor.
There are lists of confirmed sync on green monitors on the net.
Comically, the best one I saw in the past was for Sony PS2 systems to
run Linux.
