Unless the pots are truly completely sealed (expensive), there should be
some small gap somewhere that you can weasel in some cleaner.
The pots are not sealed and there are two gaps (see the pictures) with two
contact surfaces, one up and one down, for both L/R channels, I dare guess.
I simply poured in some 96% alcohol and did not apply any lubricant because
I am getting angry at this amp ...;) But a lubricated surface may actually
help a dust particle slide around and thus move the point of noise, and I
had single particular points of noise an almost all pots, selector switches
included (see the right hand back side of the amp, behind the volume pot on
the rod). However, I understand that I should apply a lubricant to the pots,
perhaps I would if the pots behave well. I should then try to seal the pots.
