Might be the same stuff. This looked it might have had a silicon base. The
concern on my part is other additives. See my comments to UZ.
If you want to, check your local auto parts store for disc brake pad
silicone goo. You will probably see some with PTFE in it.
I'm quite sure it's heat resistant also. :-)
I'll let you do the research on it for me, since you are the guru
automotive goo.
