Re: 8570vampire drinks your blood.......

Hi DanO, Michael and William....

I will answer all 3 of you in this post in order of relativity to my
problem:

William sez:

You will need a TCP/IP stack for your Ethernet connection, and by
default,
Windows 3.11 did not include one. I'm not sure if that will solve your
problem, but if you don't already have that piece, you want the 32-bit
TCP/IP 3.11b update for Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

.......to which I reply, I use that on all my PS/2 WFW machines.....I
need it on my home network.

Michael sez:

Does IE 3 include a connections tab under tools, or maybe under some
other name?

.......to which I reply, I wanted to keep things separate here and use
IE3 as my dialer/browser and a different browser for my cable
connection to the internet.

DanO sez:

Netscape 2.0

......to which I reply: I installed it last night (after some intense
googling to find a suitable copy)....and it is booted right now. The
only major problem is that I am at a loss on how to configure the
software. When it boots, I get a gazillion Java Script errors and
have no idea how to deal with them.

Here is one:

Java Script Error: http://netscape.aol.com Line 744 dlpvs is not
defined.

(that statement is lost in the damaged synapses of my ancient brain)

So there I am, gang.....have at me!
