Hi William !
This time I re-energized the 1287 in a Model 30-286 that a friend gave me a
long time ago. It didn't go as well as the first module...I had some trouble
getting the solder joints to hold together.
May happen. It is not *that* easy to solder anyway. A good 6 on a 1 - 10 scale, taking in account that the leads aren't exactly clean and a bit hard to reach.
While I was at it, I added a page to the Model 25 information collection
with some of my own observations on the process.

I'd never did the DS1387. Have no machine with one (I think) but have the datasheets IIRC. Will have a look if the method applies to it as well. For now I go to bed ...
