Hi!
TCP/IP-32 has a terminal program.....but I wanted more in a dialer
I'm not sure there is a true terminal emulator in TCP/IP 32...although
Telnet does come very close.
I cleaned the hard drive and went to MSDOS6.22, WFW and Internet
Explorer 3.02a.
Are you using the Shiva dialer and stack?
Using Internet Connection Sharing (definitely Win2000/XP, and most likely
possible with Win98SE's implementation) with a dial-up connection does work.
You just have to watch the network, as programs accessing the Internet
"behind" the computer doing the connection sharing can cause unwanted
dialing.
What won't work is if now I try to install my parallel port Zip drive.
The instant I do that, I can no longer access my modem.......don't ask
me why. I guess I will just have to keep trying.........
Maybe it's an arbitration setting? What happens if you turn the arbitration
setting on the parallel port off?
I never had any trouble with a Multitech 33.6 modem and either of a Model 90
or 95. Printing and browsing were entirely doable at the same time. I never
tried a PP Zip drive, but have no reason to believe it wouldn't work.
