Hi Gang!
I realize this request is going to sound very elementary to the esteemed
members of the MCA Mafia, but I need some advice.
I have acquired two P90 Type 4 complexes, and would like to know the most
painless method of testing them.
I have a 9595A that already has a P90 complex in it that I could slap the
things in, but since it has been years since I have tinkered with my PS/2
stuff ( Sir, no excuse Sir ! ), I'm a little hazy on particulars.
First off, I only want to "test" the Complexes, and make sure they are OK at
this time. Easily and painlessly. I would *like* to do this in a way ( if
possible ) that does not upset my current configuration of the 9595A-3PT.
If I can avoid reconfiguring the thing when I replace the original complex
back into it, that would make me happy.
If however, there is no EASY way to test them, and I have to completely
re-configure the computer, well that's the way that it has to be. ( dammit )
I won't be doing it soon in any event, I have to unbury the computer, and
verify that it works fine. It's been sitting since last century.
Or, would it be better to test them using a Server 500 ? ( which is where
they obviously came from ) I have one of those also.
Use the S/500 - like checking spark plugs on a 1970 Chevrolet pickup
truck, vs. checking the plugs on a Subaru.
