Why can't I clean up any of my workspace without loosing blood?


Maybe you have just too thin skin ?

(Sometimes there are pieces of eqipment that are blood-thursty. Vampire genes.)

If it weren't you I would have said: "Generic awkwardness. Use leather gloves when handling parts." Recommending these "butcher gloves" made from thousands of tiny metal rings may appear as an invitation to self-electrocution ... ;-)
