Got "the guts" of a couple, for the ESCON adapters, a "Y" complex (why "Y"
by the way?) the support code etc., but CT did the disassembly and shipping
to me, so unless he kept some bits like these, I don't know for sure. But,
if there's no video adapter and keyboard (and mouse) support for POST and it
doesn't expect an 8595 Op panel, and it doesn't have the Serial Console on
Serial Port support, how are you expecting to communicate with it? The
"default" is to use the 3172 Op Panel, and we know *nothing* about what the
**BIOS** supports, I don't care that they saved on production design and
engineering by re-using the 8595 planar, the BIOS defines what is usable by
software. POST codes may very well be output to the Parallel Port, but I
don't mess with that until I know what to expect from the BIOS, which will
be a lot of work (less so now that I've bought an upgrade to the Sourcer
Package v8, but still not insignificant).
Just an expounding upon the theme, I'll get to it eventually and also check
if CT has a 3172 Op Panel hanging around.
