Did you try contacting ATI tech support? You might get lucky and get a replacement. Don't know how many they have...

Just did a big deal with this guy and another group member he's got some
neat stuff.

I wasn't that impressed with the GUP the first time I tried one...it was
DOA. I think it deserves a second chance...not sure what machine it will go
into.
