Server 95 refuses to boot from act. partition with MBR

Hi guys!

My Server 95 (9595/Q) refuses to boot Linux from the first primary partition. I have set the Active-flag of this partition. Even recreating the MBR with DOS' fdisk and recreating LILO from Linux didn't help. The system harddisk is the only one and booted successfully with DOS and OS/2 before. I found the same question in the MCA-Linux archives, but the answer isn't accessible: http://www.ps-2.org/mirrors/dgmicro/_linux/000005bf.htm

Help, this disturbs kernel development! :o(
