Re: HD and CD burner setup for the perfect burn

To keep up with what? All depends on the writing speed and the burner buffer
size. The least burning speed of 150 KB/s is generous enough to accomodate
slower disks. You match your burn to your wood, and not vice versa.

In my setup, Corvette hosts the HD and the Plextor CD Reader, Spock manages
only the Yamaha CD Writer. I do not create image files, I burn directly,
however, most of the time CD copy. The Plextor has a flex-speed, it
accelerates or slows down, IIRC, that must be set through the Plextor
utilities. Also, a good software performs HD tests and tells you the
estimated write speed.

For the "perfect" burn, see my other post. A safe burn is not always
perfect.
