Thanks to prompts from Uli here is how I did it. No thanks to IBM for the
bloody awful manual they sold me for over $40 .
7012-320 AIX 4.2.1 currently on terminal emulator and want to connect to
video screen.
With computer turned off install GT3i card and attach 6091-19i monitor.
Turn on W98se with emulator.
Turn on Monitor and allow to warm up for 15 mins.
Turn on 7012-320 Log in as root on emulator
open smit
devices
install
config device added after IPL
put AIX cd number 1 into CD1
input directory for software type in CD1
and low and behold AIX automatically finds drivers and the monitor springs
into life.
The screen display, green on black with a fixed curser takes me back 35
years to my trainee days in accounts entering info into an old Quantel
running QuickBasic screen driven menues.
