If It's Not One Thing It's ... A Disappearing Hard Drive (XP Pro)
Say this is fun. I have something new every day. Ugh.
I happened to access my D-drive with an app, and it couldn't find the HD. I
used My Computer to verify it, and it really isn't there. I fiddled with the
power connector and cables, but nothing.
Finally I took it out and stuck it into another PC (Win 2K). Lo and behold
it works. I found folders and files. I could display the files. I put the HD
back in the XP machine, and again it's not found. When I book up BIOS sees
it. Could I have set some drive property to hide it? Very odd.
