I want to Convert my PATA optical drives to SATA. I know that this
will not make them any faster but I want to do it because of the
longer, thinner cables.
Is this likely to work well? Are there any brands/chipsets of
converters and controllers I should seek out? Are there any
brands/chipsets of converters and controllers I should avoid? Thank
you in advance for all replies.

I know that if you grow fruits or vegetables and sell them they
are called produce. If I grow fruits or vegetables and give
them away are they amateurduce?
