Re: NTBackup BKS file compressibility



An encrypted file should look like random data. ie there will be no
patterns, or repeating data. I have not actually tried compressing one,
but compression always works the fact that patterns repeat. It should
therefore be expected that any compression of an encrypted file will be
insignificant.
