Probably ghost being 'holier than the pope' regarding partition table rules
(or percepted partition table rules) or bios settings being different than
recorded in the MBR. Or showing error behaviour triggered by that.

You can use Findpart or Partinfo to see if they find any peculiarities with
the partitions.
