Curious question:
Why would anyone buy Windows Vista? I understand that it is not
backwards compatible with my present software and being version 1 it's
very 'buggy's.
Forget about dual booting - too much trouble for the simple home user.
I just cruise the net and play games. Nothing complex.
1) Fools who don't realize upgrading is optional.
2) Those who buy new machines that came pre-loaded with it.
I have a new machine with Vista pre-loaded. I have installed 43 games and
there is only one I have, so far, not got to work. That is Call of Duty 2
multiplayer.
I haven't tried very hard with that as I don't often play multiplayer. The
single player works fine.
Just a few examples from the 43 games currently installed: Gothic 2,
Disciples 2, Fallout, Combat Mission 1,2 and 3, Mafia.
So far I've had one run-in with it: The salesman in question had
connected his machine to a bunch of different printers around the
office (management snafu--he didn't have a proper setup when he
arrived) and it decided it wasn't going to print anymore.
I nuked all the various printers it had created and it worked fine. It
just choked on having a handful of identical printer defintions and
tried to print to one that wasn't there.
