I reinstalled and played some SMAX over the weekend, and some MoM. They're
both great games, but I'm in the mood for something that I haven't played
before.

CivIV, still at full price. A lot of folks here complained of bugs and
performance problems at release, and Firaxis was bought out by the
publisher shortly after. All of which points to a game rushed out the
door
unfinished. But it's been a year and there have been several patches
since
then. Do we have final verdict?

Civ III, in the $10 bin. I might be able to find Civ III complete for
$15-
20. I see some mixed reviews on this, but it seems most folks thought
this
one was weak, but they were comparing it to Civ II. Entertaining? Dull?
Broken?

I might be able to find Call to Power 2 in the $5 bin. I haven't played
any of the CTP series. I remember at the time thinking it was a shallow
Civ clone with a large serving of meh.

Recommendations? Which of these was more enjoyable? Are there some
others
out there to try?

There's supposed to be a boxed set of all the previous Civ games. You might
look for that.
