Personally I prefer having too much than non security; especially since
alot of us are sharing computers with people not as savvy as ourselves.

....You know it is possible to download stuff while playing, right? Or
to just have Yahoo messenger running in the background so that our
friends and family can get a hold of us if they need to...

Our ISP DO have a hardware firewall (altho there is no way for me to
tell how tightly it is set). I cannot have a router on my connection
because that costs extra (double price per month, about $50 instead of
$25 for unlimited access both ways). I still want my firewall installed
simply so I can see what programs I have on my computer that wants to
send OUT info. I just like my credit card # to be a secret to most
people, that's all...

There is no way you can convince me not to have a virus program
running; I thought those days were long gone where anyone with a
straight face could reccomend not to have it running at all times.
