I've enjoyed it.
I also think of it as much more of a strategy game than an RTS. I guess
the combat is more-or-less real-time, but you set it up in an almost
turn-wise fashion, so it certainly has a much different "feel."
Sometimes, corraling the little Darwinians can be a pain, yes.
