The Last Remnant : Tried the Demo now.

In short NO ! ..small cigar for effort & energy.

I stuck with it for 2 hours or so. It is VERY Jap, Final Fantasy style.
Smallish 3rd person characters rushing around with the screen flashing
exciting messages at you ..
"Zap, POW, DESTROY ...You Win ! ..Onward Fastly Now !."
Its all very reminiscent of the old time Arcade Games Machines.

I haven't a clue what the plot (is there one ?) was about .
It must make the record for the largest, most complex set of Key assignments
ever.
Yet this didn't seem interesting. Neither did the complex Character Stats.

You wander your Hero around with his assorted friends turning up for the
many
frequent fights. I made no sensible attempt to control these fights .
It didn't seem necessary . The screen flashes exciting "Ready, Fight , Lose
/ Win "
I just prodded those many, many keys almost at random ...after a bit of
wild activity I was informed I'd won & was offered the choice of won
objects ...clicked Take this again almost at random & then on to the
next look around , find another flashing "There's Something Here icon" &
more combat.

A half asleep dim chimpanzee could play it. ;)
I can see why the reviews DON'T say its bad but don't care for it.
I just couldn't care for it ...it's not interesting .
I uninstalled after just part of this demo with no real sense of done or
seen anything.

One thing I thought was poor design is that you can control the 3rd person
camera angle but I found I couldn't really see the various characters
clearly
And the design of them ...Bugs , Monsters assorted, Comic book style Hunky
Heroes,
& Mechanical style Creatures.
is good & fun interesting.

I can not recommend this to any one. It says RPG on the box but its a
million miles from FO3, Oblivion, Arcanum, Diablo or just about anything
else we might think
of as RPG.

Cheers dude - I was almost tempted when I first saw info on this game (hey,
it's only a couple hours of my time?), but thanks for giving me 1hr 50mins
of my life back Trimble >;-).

Btw, is there a manual for this Japanese turkey that's worth reading? Would
that even help any if one knew exactly what all those keys are for? :-/
